Human Wave

Instructions

Step 1: Form the Line

  • Have everyone in the room stand in a line or circle—whatever works best for your space.
  • Make sure there’s enough room for everyone to raise their arms without bumping into their neighbours!

Step 2: Start the Wave

  • Choose someone to be the wave starter. They’ll raise their arms high into the air, like a wave at a stadium, and then quickly lower them.
  • The person next to them follows by raising their arms immediately after, passing the wave along the line or circle.

Step 3: Keep It Going

  • Watch the wave travel from one end to the other—or all the way around if you’re in a circle.
  • Want to mix it up? Try sending the wave in reverse, doubling the speed, or even splitting into two waves that meet in the middle!
Pro Tip: The more energy and enthusiasm, the more fun this activity gets! Encourage cheering, sound effects, or even funky moves to spice up your human wave.
