Instructions

Step 1: Choose Your Criteria

Decide on a fun, unexpected way to line up! Some examples:

  • Birthday (from earliest to latest in the year)
  • Height (tallest to shortest)
  • Alphabetical (by first name, last name, or something else!)
  • Hair Length (longest to shortest)
  • Family Size (most people to least)

Step 2: Get Into Line

Have your students line up according to the chosen criteria. Make sure everyone knows what the order is!

Step 3: Bonus Challenges

  • Add a time limit! Can they get into position in under a minute?
  • Can the challenge be completed in silence?
  • Try switching up the criteria in the middle of the activity for added fun!
