Five Senses Check-In

Instructions

Notice 5 Things You Can See

Take a look around and list five things within your view—big or small!

Notice 4 Things You Can Touch

Feel the textures around you. Maybe it’s your clothes, the ground, or even the air on your skin.

Notice 3 Things You Can Hear

Tune into the sounds around you. It could be birds chirping, a fan humming, or your own breath.

Notice 2 Things You Can Smell

Take a sniff! Is there a faint scent of coffee, fresh air, or even your lunch?

Notice 1 Thing You Can Taste or Are Grateful For

If you’re eating or drinking, focus on the flavors. If not, think of something you’re thankful for.

Reflect

Take a deep breath. How do you feel now compared to before? You’ve just grounded yourself in the present moment!
